do you have a favourite custom chopper builder? i love the OCC bikes but then i dont really know about many other builders so was interested to know who you all thought was the best so that i can check them out. does anyone beat OCC for you??
Back when Discovery Channel had the Biker Build-off, I always preferred what Exile put out. I don't go for the stretched choppers with long forks, wild paint, etc., so Exile's "shrink-wrapped muscle" approach appealed to me--plain paint, wide front tire, smooth and clipped.
On the other hand, I also liked Indian Larry and his wild, cartoony-looking '60s style bikes.
Even though there has been talk of SOME frame problems, I think Big Bear Choppers is good. Also, ******* Engineering, Paul Yaffe, BMC, Hellbound Steel, Ironhorse, Big Dog, just to rattle off a few.
Check out AMEN Motorcycles out of TN, you can look them up on the net. Mike Brown owner and primary builder has built stuff that defies what anyone else has ever thought to do.
Eddie Trotta of Thunder Cycle Designs is pretty good
He designs his own bikes; frames, tanks, foot pegs, hand contros ect. and his a hands on builder who will design a bike to fit you.....kool paint jobs too!
