Hows your guitar playing comming? You practicing every day? I thought I sen't you a lesson to try, but I don't see evidence that it went thru. Try "House of the Rising Sun" It makes you play a bunch of chords, plus you practice playing the dreaded "F" chord.
    Slowly strum (2 beats each) Am, C, D, F, Am, C, then 4 beats of E (thats half a verse) then, Am, C, D, F, Am, E, Am.
Now, Play that over, and over 32 times. Thats the whole song, an easy cool New Orleans classic. Good luck. Ask any questions you want.

Thanks for the tips and I've been trying to play a bit every day. Waiting for the finger tips to quit hurting so much so I can play a little longer. How long till the calluses build up a bit?

Hey! Glad to help. Do you know the concept of 1-4-5 like when a song starts in "C" and changes to "F" then to "G" like in the song "La Bamba" or "Twist and Shout" You know, a C-F-G song? theres a bizillion of them. The formula is numerical. if the notes in a Major scale, like "Doe-Ray-Me" One is usually "C" but not always the one, but let's say it is for now, then the next chord will usually, but not always be the 4th note of the doe-ray me scale,(which is an "F" then the next chord change may very well be the 5th note in the scale"G" Are you confused? LOL, Don't be, it's just a corosponding chors of the same note in the scale. "C" "F" "G" is the 1-4-5 in the key of "C" . try it. Now try"G". That would be 1-4-5 or G-C-D. a 1-4-5 played backwards a song like "Sweet Home Alabama" is a 1-4-5 song in the key of "G" played 5-4-1 (or "D"-"C"-"G"see? Play 2 beats(strums) of "D" then 2 of "C" then 4 of "G". Can you hear a Sweet Home Alabama chorus in there? Let me know how it's going.and any questions, Always glad to help

Heya, what are a couple of easy, beginner songs to learn on the guitar? I have a chord chart and kinda get the basics. I just need something easy to practice on.
    Thanks
