Honda CB400F Supersport - budget retro cafe racer

July 24, 2009 by aaronrkelly

Owner: Aaron Kelly
State: Iowa
Bike Stats: 1975 Honda CB400F Supersport
Mods: home built seat, rigged exhaust, home built intake (thats pvc pipe with K&N filters), clubman bars, vinyl racing stripes and tank graphics, home built side panel, gauge cluster etc

Basically the theory was retro cafe racer……but not the high end, polished bits that most people use when building retro racers…..for two reasons. One….nobody *I* know did it that way back in the day…..money was tight, you made your own stuff. Two……**** Im broke, cant afford the shiny stuff…..which really goes along with number one.

Going for a vintage look with the photo, not sure if this is exactly what I want but it gives it an old, aged photo look.

Wow, That's a nice looking ride. I want to do something like that to my cb350. I'll probably hit you up for some advice, if that's okay with you.

Very nice. Only thing it would need to be legal in New Zealand would be indicators.

Great, mate!

Oh, and a vestigal front mudguard.

Looks great. Big ups on the custom parts...honestly, it's what adds character to the bike.
