It's a terrible instance of them though. While driving through SLC with my girlfriend's sister (I'm on vacation right now) we came across a guy wearing a t-shirt, short shorts and flip flops on a v star. No helmet, gloves or anything else like that. These shorts were like the ones hooters girls wear and they were just flapping in the breeze. We've argued in other areas about wearing shorts while riding, and some of us have done it. However, I think we can all agree that wearing short shorts is out of the question.

They were shorter than that and fit looser. They looked exactly like the ones hooters girls wear.

How do flip-flops not blow off or just fall off? And yes, I'd hate to try and shift with them.

The only reason Lt. Dangle wears the admittedly non-regulation shorts is to be able to move fast... like a cheetah.

I don't know how he was able to shift in the flip flops. I guess you just let your toes take a beating on the shifter. Seems like it would hurt a lot though.

How about catching a rock on your TOE KNUCKLE(not a technical term, but you understand). OUCH! SHEESH. Couldnt do it. I hate getting hit in the shin with my jeans on!

Actually no, he didn't. Couldn't quite hear the fabric flapping in the breeze but the bike was pretty quiet.

Very painfully I would imagine.
But then I hate to even walk on the concrete bare footed.:D

I have seen people ride with those stupid flip/flops,I have seen people run in them too. I personally can not even walk up or down stairs in them without nearly killing myself.
