ok so when im riding(this usually only happens about 50 miles after i fill her up) i hear a "sqeeky" kinda sound...well i guess a "raddle" as well...i THINK its inside the front area(with the light and the speedometer is) but im not sure...and when im getting lower on my gas, i here a kind of "slerping" sound-i guess from the engine trying to nab what it can from the tank w/o researve on...but it still continues when i flip it to reserve...ill describe it more when i start to hear again(i just filled today) and post more detailed of what it could possibly be/where it coming from. (i noticed neither happened during idle running, just when moving/on throttle)

It's really hard to tell without hearing the sound. If it only happens once the fuel starts to get low, I'd suspect the fuel pump, unless the fuel is gravity fed on that model.

If it's fairly loud, I'd take it in to the dealership with the tank low enough for this to happen and let them take a listen.

It should be covered under warranty if anything is wrong.

yeah exactly-idk how ide even discribe to them what im hearing...i was checking today and i was wondering if it was just my keys bouncing(would explain why at idle theres no noise-since its vibrating less)

ill ride tomorow with JUST the key on to see if it makes a difference (perhaps i was putting it into my head it was only after a few rides that it started to happen...:smiley_mornincoffee)

we shall see...

I'm having a similar experience. I'm aware that I'm going to be particularly sensitive to sound as I get to know my bike - I had the same experience when I first started riding my old motor scooter and never had a problem over nearly 4000 miles.

I'm going to be doing the key-test same as you tomorrow, and running by the dealership to see what they think. I think it's time for a fill-up tomorrow as well.

Let us know what you find out!

speedo cable? tach cable? did the tech lube them when the bike was assembled? without hearing it, it is difficult to say.

(sry internet has been off and on past couple of days)

i found that it only happens during bumpy roads(leading me to believe i should get stronger springs or w/e for my front/rear wheels-considering im about 245 lbs with my gear(been reading on other forums the stock ones are for 150ish))

i took the keys off-and it was a single sound they were making-but its more of a vibration/raddle sound now without the keys-and i THINK its the panel with my speedometer and odometer that might be a little loose (i was installing new bar sliders, and had to drill the heads off of the old ones, so maybe the vibrations from the drill could have done that)...idk, but im at like 570 miles now, and taking it in for its 600 mile check-up(will prob be like 650 by then though =S) and ill ask them what it could be(going tuesday 14th)

but at slow speeds and smooth roads i cant say i hear much of anything but the wind...i should buy some ear plugs or something cause it gets LOUD hah. once i hit those back roads or older roads-i start to hear the vibrations again-ranges between 5-45 mph, by 45 i can only hear the engine/wind :D
