Link to them there. I wear a plain old pair of $40 sturdy leather work boots with no ankle protection at all. I bought them initially so that I could have some protection on my feet without spending that much money.
I want to upgrade now and have been looking at Sidi's Vertigo/Vortice boots, but I have a few concerns. First off, I really would like something with ankle and shin protection, and these boots look extremely protective overall which is my #1 concern. The only thing I'm worried about is how comfortable they are. Honestly, they gave me the impression that they'd give you ski or snowboard-boot walk. Ya know, where it looks like you're walking on your heals. Are they comfortable to wear and walk in? I ride my bike everywhere, to work, school, and on the long joy rides as well as track days. I want boots that I can wear to work, school, and on the long joy rides. I think as long as these don't make me walk like a goofy ******* then I'm interested.
