Hi all. I just found that I have a leak on the left side of my tank. It comes from underneath it and possibly the seams on it. I was wondering what the best way to fix that is. Is it to take the tank off, empty it of gas, sand it down and then reweld it? Or would getting a new tank be better? Also, would I need a tank from the same year/model or would a used tank from another year/model work? I'm not trying to spend a lot of money if I don't have to. Thanks for the help in advance.

I had a similar thing happen to a bike I didn't store correctly. I tried a few different "patches," but nothing worked. I had to buy another tank!
That tank was also VERY expensive, but it was before Ebay! I'd first give Ebay a chance before I'd try any repair. You might get lucky and find exactly what you need!
Here's one that might work: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-79-HONDA-CB750K-CB750-CB-750-K-Gas-Fuel-Feul-Tank_W0QQitemZ200336188527QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotor cycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2ea4f7a46f&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A1171|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318
