Buddy of mine just booked a bunch of us for the July event at the Snowshoe Ski Resort in WV. Anyone know is this is a good event or not? Website doesn't give a lot of info.

Thanks, Scott

I never heard of it but if you'll be showing your work there you might want to post a notice in the Events forum, we have riders looking for a cruise destination.

Hello, Scott. I don't know much about it, but I do have a few comments. I went to the Snowshoe motorcycle event a few years ago with my wife on my Kawasaki Vulcan. We had a great trip, got a wonderful room close to the entrance with a parking spot. We went out to eat and when we got back there was a phone message to call the front desk. I called up and they said that we would have to change rooms due to some kind of safety problem in the building. I talked to them about it and I smelled bull in every word. I decided to pack up and leave. We went back to the front desk building and I asked for a refund. The clerk said she could not do that on her own and the manager was not on the premises. I said O.K. and went back to the parking lot. I remembered that I forgot to turn in the key and went back in the building. A large well dressed man came out of the back and I walked up to him and told him that I wanted a refund on the spot. He was in fact the manager and he did comply with my request. Whe we got home I sent them a letter of complaint and received no response whatsoever. Now you might say that we should have just changed rooms like they asked us to. But for me (my wife didn't care) the vacation was already ruined because I was fairly sure (due to several lies in a row) that the emergency had more to do with the color of the skin and the brand of the bike than it did with problems in the building. But that is O.K. We all take our share of hard knocks and we all have to learn the hard way. Good Luck, Snowshoe.
