I have a question about my throttle

I bought new 1" grips for my harley and when I hook everything up there is some play in the grip on the throttle side...The grip has the throttle cable hook up on it ...Is there a piece to go over the handle bar to make it fit tighter so there is no play?????? I have tried looking for something or answers on the net and cant find anything and dont know what to call it even.......Thanks,Mike

Did you ever get an answer to this? I have the same problem with new grips I installed on my Harley.

I had the same problem on my last grip change and all I did was rap some electrical tape around the bar to take up play. I havent had any problems sence.

Moved to the repair section (The HOW TO section is for examples of "how to" fix stuff)

Did you adjust the throttle cable?
