60 degrees, sunshine, blue skies, and here I am sitting in my meteorology class. My poor motorcycle sitting all by itself at my apartment complex. Probably scared and lonely. I know you cruisers can relate to the call of an open country highway with all the turns you could want. So the question is whether sometimes you have to skip work / school to ride, and is it worth it?

Well I know what your talking about. Its really nice out and I'm stuck at work. My bike is at home (I don't ride to work very often cuz I only live a mile from work) any who I can't take it anymore, I think I'm gonna leave early today. I do it quite a bit, as long as were not to busy(look at me playing on MC forum, were not busy) I go tell my boss, "I need to leave early, can I use a few hours of personal time" she always asks why and I always say "cuz its a beautiful day out and I'm joansin for a ride." She laughs and lets me go, it helps that I'm charming.

There you go. I had to turn in a project today so I came, otherwise I'd be going 60 through the country. My favorite thing to do is pick a direction and find out where I end up.

This is the kind of teacher that sometimes springs a quiz, so I'm stuck here. We're watching a movie right now that we may have a quiz about, so I'm half paying attention, half posting on the forums. Gotta have priorities.

So far I have been lucky. All the nice weather hits on my days off. This Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be close to 80. Open road here I come. I just have to ride through one day of rain to work to get there. lol

You'll all be happy to know that after class I saddled up and rode up to a lake north of here just to do it. 80 miles each way, took the expressway through the country. :-D

I understand the pain I sit here on my ass without a bike to ride. Had to spend money on some unforseen stuff so I couldn't buy what I wanted to.

haha, its worth it bro. I blew off last week work and school to ride and camp in southern Utah. It was amazing and definitely worth skipping out on life for a little bit.

They're making you continue to work instead of go riding? "It's an infringement on your constitutional rights. It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous." ~ Jackie Chiles

I'm lucky enough to have some nice twisties that I can ride on on my way to class. I just hit the short side road on my way to class, then take the longer (and much more fun) twisty on my way home.

I'd kill for a job that paid me for riding a motorcycle. Where do I sign up for one? lol

Well here is my scenario, I am at my office, look up and see this beautiful spring weather outside, Glance at the clock,I pick up the phone call one of my customers, who by chance also loves to ride, ask him what he's doing for lunch, jump on my bike and 30 minutes I am at his office, He jumps on his bike and we are off for BarBQ @ Coopers in LLano Texas, for some of the best BarBQ Texas has to offer! The best part is, He is a customer so I get to turn in our receipt to get reimburst.

Not the best pay but good for a college kid, I leave with $40 in tips on a bad night.

So you deliver food so fast I'll freak? Living in Mount Pleasant and working at the CMU Help Desk Jimmy Johns pretty much has all of our desk numbers memorized. Now when we call they just say "is this for the help desk?"
Back on topic, another gorgeous day and I'm at work like a sucker.

In some parts of the world motorcycles are issued for deliver use only, courier, pizza, lunch/food, or other quick detail work for cash payout and tips. Granted they aren't the most fun to ride, yet riding is pretty fun no matter what you are on really.
