Well guess it was last summer..buddy of mine bought a brand new YZF and I took him up to get it, we had to haul it home cause he didn't have insrance yet to put plates on it. So we bring it home, unload it. Next day he calls...can you come over with your truck again, got to take bike back, something wrong with it. I go up...walk in garage its sitting there. looks fine...I get on it, the left side is all messed up, no shifter or clutch, mirrors missing...I am like WHAT THE F HAPPENED!!!...lol He came home that evening after dinner with his wife and said...I am gonna take for ride thru my housing development...he stood it up pulliing out and when he came back down on front tire he was at the bend already...layed it down!!! So I mess with it..get it into neautral..fire it up...runs fine..roll it around nothing seemed bent or binding...we load it up...man did I humiiate him infront of the service guys...lol Now how many miles are on it????..lol .80miles..LMAO. His wife was so mad..she wanted them to give them new bike...I was like there is no way...you WRECKED it...lol so sorry for your luck. They had to fix the farrings and everything..the swingarm was scratched up...it took the worst..but talk about riding your friend and not letting it go...lol

He does sound a little on the dumb side for doing that, at least he was ok.

And that is the reason I won't do wheelies... I don't feel like replacing anything on my pristine looking bike :)
Good thing he didn't get hurt.

Wow. And he didn't have insurance? Well I guess that will teach him not to do something so reckless (I hope)

Yea he really learned his lesson on that one...he just lucky he got thru it without anything major happening and he had to pay to fix the bike out of his own pocket...he was so upset about the wholr thing.

I remember those days when i didn't knew how to drive and when i was a passenger in a car going on the freeway at around 70 mph, to me everything looked very easy. But i remember when i was behind the wheel and actually entered a freeway for the first time, i knew what it felt like.
When will people understand that what they see is a product of lots and lots of practice.
Honestly, i feel sorry about your friend's bike.. not your friend.

Another candidate for the DARWIN AWARD?
Do your friend a favor make him take a SAFETY CLASS.
Can't feel sorry for the stupid.

A friend of mine that didn't take the MSF just got an 05 YZF. I told him to take the course but he said he had ridden a lot of ATVs on stunt tracks and he had been riding his dad's newer suzuki (not sure which model) for a month so he'll be fine.
I hope he doesn't do that, but as long as he's ok I'm going to tell him I told him so. Just because you can ride a bike doesn't mean you know what you're doing.

I had a buddy who laid his VRod down in a ditch. He had only had the bike for a week or so. When he laid it down he insisted on calling the police so they could fill out an incident report so that his insurance would cover the the damages. Well the first thing the police asked for was his drivers license and proof of insurance. He provided the insurance card but he did not have his motorcycle endorsement on his license. He got a ticket for not having a license, the officer wouldn't let him ride the bike away, and his insurance would not cover the bike because he was not a licensed operator. What an idiot. He was out like 3500 dollars for the whole deal.

hehe didn't he realise that cops would ask about the driver's license first :D .. this is like a burglar went to steal from a house and when the house was locked, called 911 for help :D:D
