Sometimes the really slow speed maneuvering on a bike that big is more impressive than high speed cornering. At least that's my opinion.

wow, I was a bit surprised the course was so "dusty". Seemed to me that it'd be more of a hazard for training? I'm talking about the part where the officers test their abilities at high speed running around the 1.9mi track.

Of course, i'm thinking along the lines of breaking loose any one of the tires and causing a low-side or something. Especially with the minimal amount of protective gear the officers were wearing.

I wanted to see Jason do a wheelie through the course or something... that would have been bad ass...

anyway, ya, I would want to wear some more protection if I were those guys.

---I believe everyone should try to go through at least one class testing slow speed skills. We (my lady and I) did extensive training at a Tech. school in are area. They tested our slow speed skills and our high speed skills. Some of the slow speed skills tests were excruciating, but in the end we are both glad we did it. They had us run the tests with three different sizes of cycles. It was crazy, they had about thirty different cycles to choose from. We had to push ourselves and the cycles to the limits. It was fun though.:D

those motor patrol guys really know how to ride a full dresser! they make those turns look effortless.

i also like the illustration of just how poor the rear brake works on a motorcycle. good info for the noobs.

i was under the understanding that those bikes have abs. which would mean that if the leo hit the rear brake, it would also activate the front. shows what i know :o

Their skills are mostly in low speed maneuvers, which personally, leave me underwhelmed. I ride with several "motor cops" and the higher speed skills I've witnessed are just average at best.
