I got my first pair of gloves not too long ago and I'm trying to figure out if the fit is correct. Everything seems great on them, but when I close my hand around the left handlebar, some of the leather in the palm bunches uncomfortably, especially right under the fingers. Is this normal for gloves at first, or do you guys think the palm is too big, which is what it seems like? I'm just not sure if a smaller size it right because the fingers seem to fit well. I guess I just have thin palms too.

Thanks for any help!

Here are the gloves I purchased.

I had a pair of Joe Rocket gloves similar to those and it bunched up . I sold them. I also had a pair of Harley summer gloves that bunched up. I sold them also. All my other gloves I have don't bunch up like that.

Well, I went on a long ride today and gave the gloves one more chance. They seem to break-in ok, but the bottom plastic protection near the thumb on my left hand digs into the bottom of my thumb, so I am going to return them. Too bad, they are great outside of that! Any suggestions on a sporty looking shortcuff, preferably from Newenough.com, where I will have a credit?

Thanks

I would assume that *any* bunching of material between your palm and the bar is a bad thing.

I bought Scorpion winter gloves with armor and they fit .. like a glove! :) No bunching.

Icon pursuit?

Hmmm, the Icons don't look to bad, but I kinda want something with a little more flash! :D Call me crazy I guess. I think these are the 2 I am between. Let me know what you guys think or if you have had any experience with them.

On another note, I remeasured my hand and found it was a shade under 8.5". By Newenough's sizing chart that puts me at the high end of a medium and the low end of a large. Which way do ya'll recommend I go?

Thanks!

If it were me, I'd go with the medium so they'll stretch to conform to your hand. You can make leather stretch, but I don't think you can make it shrink.

If they end up being too small, Newenough has a very liberal return/exchange policy.
