I am almost firm on buying the tourmaster venture pants. They have an inner waterproof and winter liner and its removable. It also has a side zipper for the ease of putting on and taking it off.
Does anybody have used it before? my main concern is rain.. it should be a good waterproof one.:)
Thanks.

Heya, I bought those pants a couple of months ago from chromekid who is on here. They are very nice. I haven't had the chance to try in cold weather yet but great to slip on and off. Like a jacket for your legs:)

i would find a place that stock those pants before you buy, i almost went with those to go with my TM jacket, but i didnt like the sizing. i am a 38 waist, and they combine their sizes into 34-36 or 38-40, etc. assuming they size large so you can wear pants under them i tried the 34-36, and it was way small, i could almost button them. the 38-40 was way too big for me, they would have fit better if i had the 34-36 on under them. try them before you buy.
also, dont count on waterproof pants to be waterproof, youll likely need a good rainsuit for that.
i have a tourmaster sabre jacket, tourmaster gloves and joe rocket ballistic 5.0 pants, and all are supposed to be waterproof. i know my jacket doesnt work perfectly, there is a waterproof liner that keeps me from getting soaked, but the zipper on the front, despite the inner flap with a waterproof backer, lets water in. my gloves kept my hands dry and warm in one real bad rainstorm, except the gauntlet got soaked through and the dry material around my dry hands began wicking the wetness in, than took days to dry out, ive also read similar reviews about the JR pants.
all of my gear will certainly be drier than nothing, or non-waterproof gear, but only keeps me about 90% dry. dont expect much more than that, or youll be disappointed in the gear you just paid good money for.
i am happy with my gear, dont get me wrong, and i would still buy it knowing what i found out, but if you really want to stay dry, youll need a good rainsuit, possibly a one piece, and some glove rain covers.
just my.02, hope it helps.

I bought a rain jacket but the pants I see in the stores are huge. I'm still looking for some. I bought a Stearn jacket..haven't had a chance to try it out yet but I've heard it is very good. I know the liner works well, I hope the thermal liner works as well.
