I currently reside just north Of Jackson. I just recently (Sept 08) purchased a Suzuki Boulevard VS1400.
I've made a run to Vicksburg a couple of weeks ago... hopefully, someday, we can meet up for a ride... if not... I'll definitely give the nod, if you're going the other way.

Wasn't me. Haven't made it there yet but will soon. Just bought mine a few weeks ago and I try to ride whenever I'm not at work although it is getting pretty cold right now.

Regarding Ratliff Ferry... there's usually a semi-decent to decent crowd up there on Sunday afternoons.
Of course, warmer & sunnier days in the Fall & Winter bring out a better crowd then a forecast of cold and overcast.
There's usually a whole range of bikes... Harley's, big Honda / Yammy cruisers, V-Twins, custom choppers, a trike or two, some vintage scooters, etc.
