So I have done a decent bit of research/pricing and I think I made my mind up on purchasing a Scorpion EXO Helmet. I'm trying to decide between the 400 series and the 700 series. The only differences seem to be that the 400 series shell i made of a kevlar and fiberglass compound, whereas the 400 series is made of polycarbonate. From various reviews I read this seems to make the 700 series helmet lighter, but only by 2 oz. That doesn't seem too significant. Am I missing anything else beneficial from the 700 series hell material over the 400 series?

I would post a link, but my "post" count is too low....sorry..If you want check them out try this link, but put together the "http"

I am not sure about the material, but really like by Scorpion 400 helmet. It is very well vented yet quiet, and comfortable. Plus you can remove the liner when it gets skanky to wash it... this is a great feature trust me!!

I have the 700 model. Yeah, it's nice, but it's the hidden flip down sun shield feature that I dig. Plus, it's got this air pump button,(I don't ever use) that you can pump up and custom fit it real tight ???
I don't know why you would want to. if your helmet fits,...it fits. But, some people like it tight on their cheeks,...I guess.

Are you referring to the exo 1000 series? I didn't see these features on the 400/700 series. Also, do these helmets tend to run true to size, or I have heard they run a size small. I just don't have a scorpion dealer anywhere in my area.

Thanks

these are great helmets for a pretty affordable price. I have a couple of icon helmets and my exo 400 gets less stuffy inside. plenty bang for the buck
