The local Yamaha place is offering these as wind/rain suits.
Anyone have good advice on these?

I have 3 sets and love them. Light weight, packs small ( great for a bike)
I own a $500 gortex rain suit also and would rather wear my 'Toggs any day
If you plan on riding in downpours for extended periods of time you might want to spend $$$$$$$ on a really good suit, but if it's for a short trip or just getting caught out in it, ya can't beat 'Toggs

oh yeah........
Keep ' m away from hot pipes...they will melt !

+ONE for FrogToggs...
Pack small, light weight to carry and fit nicely over motorcycle appeal.
They are strong, just be careful putting on and taking off, as to not rip them.

I have a set and they are great. They look a bit flimsy but they work and are tougher than they seem.. That plus the stuff sack that easily fits in a saddle bag makes them easy to carry all the time. I haven't used them in a real downpour though.

Frog toggs are like duct tape. Every hobbiest thinks they were invented for them. Hunters, hikers, bikers etc. all love frog toggs and so do I Make sure you put the hood on under the helmet. and they are great. And if they get trashed they are cheap enough to replace without breaking the bank.

I have a set I originally got for camping. Nice, lightweight and, as someone else said, surprisingly tough when you consider they're actually a paper product.
The only complaint I have with mine is the color. I got a tan outfit. When I wear the pants and jacket together, I look like a walking grocery bag.

:D and you probably sound like one, I know I do.
On a serious note,I have a hot pipe that melted a whole in the right leg. I got an ironing board cover designed to withstand heat, cut out patches for the affected area and used stitching tape to put it on. They don't melt know and it looks sort of like those horse riding pants with the sewn in leather. At least that is what I tell myself. I probably look like something coming out of a clown car.

Light, easy to pack, easy to put on, simply the best rainwear for short or long rides. Do find however that after a few hours in the rain the area where the suit zips up in front will let a bit of water but not a major thing. I would highly recommend them.

They are also good enough to use as a light jacket when it is chilly out. We were on a ride and it got down in the 50s so the Frog Togs came out to keep us warm. My son even wore his dowtown doing some shopping and they look enough like a regular jacket to work.
