My clutch was slipping under high throttle and seemed to be getting a little bit worse, so I decided to pull it apart and inspect the discs. The friction discs seemed to be within spec according to the manual, but they had no grab to them at all when I had the stack on a table, applying pressure and turned them. They turned very smoothly and too easily I would think. I ordered all new pressure plates/friction discs. I'll be getting them on the 24th.
However, now after inspecting things more closely I think I may be missing 2 parts.
Here's a diagram of my bike's clutch assembly:

I do not have a number 27 nor 28.
I of course have the clutch basket parts 24 and 19... ordered 5 new 21's and 4 new 22's, and the 23 and 41 are in place. However, as I said, no sign of 27 or 28.
The description of them is kinda funny too..
27: SPRING, CLUTCH
3850510-001 Enter 0-99 $21.39
28: LEVER, CLUTCH
3850603-001 Enter 0-99 $8.55
I don't know if they are mislabeled or what.
The four springs, #26 are also labeled "SPRING, CLUTCH".. and the parts numbers of 26 and 27 are close, indicating 27 may indeed be the springs, and not the round plate like I [may] need.
I can't order the parts 27 or 28 either.. which is a problem.
One last thing that I would like to add is when I took off the clutch case cover and when the clutch basket was fully intact, I could slide the stack of discs in and out.. somewhere in the distance of 1 or 2 coins thickness. I just assumed the discs had worn, causing the slack. However, shouldn't the springs be forcing it all together? If that's the case then there should have been no slack whatsoever.
I have the plates sitting in a tin here in my apt, so if pics would help then I can take some. I already have taken some of the whole basket on the bike before I took it off also. The bike is 10 miles away though.
Looks like I've finally found a forum with enough members to make it worthwhile!
Thanks.
