The standard vista cruise throttle lock is designed to utilize a clamp on the handlebar between the brake reservoir and the switch housing. On the Ninja 500 and the Concours 1000, there is not enough room for this clamp. I previously was able to install the vista cruise on the ninja by grinding part of the brake reservoir and sanding down the plastic clamp that the vista cruise comes with. Now, I've got the Concours and I wanted to move the throttle lock to that. There is even less room on the bar on the concours, so the same trick wasn't going to work. I figured this out:
It's quite simple, utilizing the hole for a mirror located on the brake reservoir:

Take your standard vista cruise throttle lock, perhaps off of another bike:

You only need the arm and the part that goes around the throttle. You will need a 10mm bolt with 1.25 pitch threads, I think the one I used
was about 4cm long. Drill out the hole in the arm:

...and bolt the arm into the mirror hole. I used a fat lock washer to get a secure fit:
