Hi Folks,
I have an '03 Bonneville America for my "around-town" bike, with less than 10,000 miles on it. About 6 months ago the speedo started doubling, and sometimes tripling the actual speed I am travelling. Occasionally it works correctly. The speedo cable was sticky and cleaning/oiling didn't help, so I bought a new cable for it - but that obviously wasn't the problem. Do I need to go into the speedo housing and fix something? Anyone have the same problem?
