I'm looking for a jacket for this coming spring and I just can't make up my mind on either a perforated leather jacket or a solid leather jacket.
Specifically, I'm considering an Icon Accelerant Perf or unperforated Leather.
Any opinion would be greatly appreciated!

I know this may not help 100%, but I do have a pair of perforated leather pants. I can't compare them to regular ones, but I would say they do keep me cooler than my cordura ones.
I also have a vented leather jacket, and I use it up to 80*. When it gets hotter than that, I use my mesh jacket, and I feel as though I am not wearing one at all!
Hope it helps...:)

BTW, check out these websites, and wait for the winter to get some real deals!!;) And, compare prices before you buy.
Good luck!:D

I've been wanting a perf'd jacket for a long time now, only problem is that I can't find any I like in my price range. If you've found one you like that you can afford, I don't know why you shouldn't get it.

My husband has a leather jacket that unzips in spots to reveal mesh/perforations for better ventilation when it gets hot. Living in Texas, it's definitely a must! I myself have an armored jacket where the entire back and front underneath the arms/shoulders unzips to reveal solid mesh. Wouldn't do it any other way.
So I'd say go with perforations unless you live in a perpetually chilly area ;)

If you go to this web-site:

They also have the leather perforated pants. The ONLY complaint I have is that the zipper slides down on it's own, only because my butt is getting bigger. :DThankfully, it does have stretch panels and velcro adjustable sides, but if you have huge calves, these pants are not for you.
I know I did well. For the price, heck yeah!!

^Nice find, if it was in white I'd probably buy it right now, even though I shouldn't. If I saw it a month ago I probably would have bought it but now I'm back in school so I have to watch my spending because I can't work as much.

Well I'm a noob to motorcycles. F/t student and work F/T. Just paid off the credit cards and wanted to start buying the protection before the bike expenses. This being said, I don't have a back up jacket so I'm hoping this gets me through most of AR's weather. Oh, schneiderman, it does come in white! That's what I was planning on getting. The jacket cost $300. I can afford it, but idk if it's a wise purchase since i haven't bought a jacket before. I understood through this and many other sites leather is better but hotter than textile so that's I'm leaning towards this jacket as opposed from a textile.
