my dad has a harley, its a custom chopped bike, but in the styling of a cafe bike, just don't like the big laid back hogs. I like going fast, real fast.
Also can't view that image, why is that? do i like need 15 posts or something?

I hope this mentality doesn't morph into the too common self-destructive noobie tendency to want to get the biggest, baddest bike out there and kill themselves on it.

of course not, I am an extremely responsible person, I would never zip around on the highway like some of these fools on crotch rockets that I see. I would however love to learn to race, in a correct environment, like the race track. I also would never learn on some huge fast bike, because i have known people who have done that, and they just look silly when their experience level is compared to their motorcycle.
Thank you for your concern though, I truly apreciate it.

It's nice to see someone approaching motorcycles in such a responsible manner. Hopefully your genes will remain in the gene pool longer than those squids out on the roads. :)

If you think that looks nice, take a look at the Yamaha Torque Sport:

Nice fusion of sport bike and cruiser styling (that V-twin looks SWEET in a sportier frame!). Unfortunately, I don't think they offer it in the States...

Living in San Diego, sports bikes are extremely popular and i see some guys just flying down the freeway, some even doing wheelies, and crazy stunts. It truly amazes me how anyone can ever think about doing something like that in an uncontrolled environment.
Also my dad, is an anti-helmet law guy, and reminisces about 'back-in-tha-day', when helmets weren't required, which is crazy cause i could never image riding my road bike with out a helmet, let alone a motorcycle.
I do like yamaha, and your right the v-twin looks sick.
I have a question for you or any that can answer.
Why are the dominating companies in motorcross, all japanese? is motorcross popular in japan? cause it doesn't seem like something they would be into (i'm not japenese so I don't truly know) or are japenese companies just trying to appeal to people in the states?

The American companies don't seem to be interested in motocross bikes. It's a shame.

its odd, because it seems, like theses guys who motorcross, drive american trucks and buy american, but when it comes to there passion they passion they buy japanese.
Don't get me wrong, japenese have a great reputation for producing some the finest bikes, just seems like a sport that would be monopolized buy american motorcycle companies.
whatever, just something that intrigued me.
