This is my 75 TC100 Blazer. She's pretty and clean and a great commuter. I like the comfort of an upright ride and the zing zing zing of a tiny motor.

guys quick question...do you guys want us to start a new thread all the time or just keep going in this one with our pics...also just one pic per bike ?

I didn't notice the "rules" on top of the page, start a thread for whichever month you want to compete for, I missed that and posted here (I will lose this month LOL) as far as how many pics, I don't have any idea...

Here's my contribution. Don't know how the scoot rates on the 'Pretty Scale' but what the heck, I like it well enough. ;) The ride is a 1991 Harley-Davidson FXDBS-80 Sturgis, 1340cc Blockhead (Evolution) engine mounted in the first year introduction version of the 'Dyna-Frame' for the decade.

http://www.gnomebisque.com/LowRiderGhost/1991HD_FXDBS-80_STURGIS_1200-PIX.JPG

I’ve humbly attempted to restore this bike back to Oem / Factory Condition including for the Intake and Exhaust Systems. Natch’ the Seat & Saddlebags are not original, as this IS a ‘Rider’ and not a museum piece – but of course have all the stock parts kept for easy 100% restoration.

I’m guessing except for Black Hills Harley-Davidson themselves, I’m the only other dude here that actually has a Sturgis in the at least proximity OF Sturgis (aka Black Hills)?! BHHD does have a 91’ in Rapid City plus a 82’ FXB-80 Shovelhead at they’re Sturgis Branch. That’s the one I seriously drool over every rare time I can pop in there. Almost had one of those 27 years ago, ahhh… but that’s another story!

LRG

Footnote: Folks, you did say "1200"? I'm assuming 1,200 Pixels?! I dunno, guess folks got bigger monitors now then my old PC? :D

Here is my baby, ok it probably won't win any prizes, but here goes;

2001 Yamaha FZS600S it is a MK1, I personally love the square headlights on it (the later models have the slanted ones). I have done nothing to him except change the seat colour from black to red.

hang on will not let me up load the picture, I will do it as a link to my photobucket album. Link will follow shortly.........

here (http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w119/thekittykat1/My%20Bike/) is the link (double click the small picture and it becomes larger!)

Love the bike...My Husband had the same one...he's already added the windshield and studded saddle bags...It's a sweet bike with or without the bling...I was looking at getting a c50 for my first bike but it was a little too big for me to start on so i'm on a yamaha vstar 650 which is great for me to start with and then after a year or two i will upgrade to the c50t or c90t...

Thanks Partner! :D The Red-Striped Rims were distinctive of the 'Sturgis' line only as far as I know. The 1980 thru 1982 FXB-80 (1340cc Shovelhead) had it and of course the one year only 1991 FXDBS-80 (1340cc Blockhead) had it.

LRG

LRG: I think the accent stripes on the wheels are great!

Footnote: Just lucky the dang thing even still HAD the Red Trim wheels IN place, that's all I can say! The point being is WHY do people buy a bike like this? Or that is to say, if someone hates the 'blacked out engine' look, then why not buy something else? Nope, the 2nd to last moron that had this scoot before me had actually gone to the expense and trouble to of had ALL the Black Paint removed from the engine! Then the H-D Dealer that got it couldn't sell it because the Black Paint had been removed! :p

So they begrudgingly repainted the engine, then I later came upon it on eBay. No, I won’t mention the Dealer because given the ‘technical’ state of the bike when it got here (which I’ve painfully gone over and fixed!) I don’t know how this ‘official’ H-D Dealer can stay in business (creeps!), and I refuse to give em’ 10’s of 1,000's of $$$ of free advertising!

I’m saying there’s just some things (bikes included) I wish people could keep they’re dang sticky fingers offa’ of and leave the damn thing alone, ya’ know? I dunno, while these particular bikes aren’t valuable money wise (yeah, like I care) I do think they are ‘special’, and should be treated as such. JMHO. Nuff’ said. ;)

ESP? ST Tricorders? What's up with that? :p

LRG hahah ... yeah it's a little out there, some of the stuff computers can crank out these days... but Google is right up there on everything. If you want to know how to do something... spend between 0-10 minutes searching tutorials and you'll probably learn :)

[edit] oh, speaking of beautiful bikes... anyone ever see or hear of the ZX Chrome? i think that's what it was called. I saw photos of it when I was too young to care what the model of bike was (and too long ago to remember now)... but they took a sport rocket (maybe an 1100 or something) and CHROME PLATED ALL of the body plates  they had to nickel plate them first so that the chrome would stick. they said it got really heavy and they had to file down the pieces so they'd fit back together LOL :D .. but i've looked a few times and can't find it online anymore :(

Thanks! :D That is pretty much how these came, minus the bags and shield of course. For the sticklers though, the last owner or owners changed the License Plate Mount to chrome (oem was black), and as received the bike was missing the oem Black Starter Motor End Cover – now a ‘Discontinued’ part (nice). Got a aftermarket Chrome Cover on it, looks nice but not ‘Concours D’Elegance’ I suppose?!

Now except for BHHD’s I’ve only known one other dude with one of these. At least that’s one more then with my old Victory (‘0’ others so far!) Now he went the other way and Black Chromed everything! Interesting. Now I recall Yamaha I think being the first to do that (many years ago)? ;)

Hmmm, as no one said I couldn't and I couldn't find no rules to the contrary, here is another entry! Assuming no Molotov Cocktails start flying my way from the membership, I hope this is cool?!

The scoot is a 1981 Harley-Davidson FXS-80 Low-Rider, 1340cc Shovelhead. Specifically it is the last year of production under AMF (American Machine & Foundry) ownership of the H-D Motor Company, for many considered to of been a time of celebration in 1982. But I for one say if it hadn’t been for AMF, we might not even have a friggin’ H-D company now at all?!

http://www.gnomebisque.com/LowRiderGhost/1981H-D_FXS80_LOWRIDER.JPG

This example (same model and year) is the actual second one I’ve ever owned. The first time was an accident settlement reward to myself back in 1983 for having been busted up like nobody’s business by a f’n punk in a pickup in December 1981. Some bikes are special to us I’d say – NOT necessarily the best bikes we’ve ever had but have some meaning for us? Such was the case of that scoot. I went through a LOT of moves and relationships during the time I owned that ride. But it stuck it out with me, for 15 years until after I was married and Family business bills piled up (yet again TOO!) so out it went! :(

There’s some things you just can’t simply replace though – all the money in the world don’t mean diddly squat. Here you got the virtual same scoot – yikes, it could have been right behind the other one ON the production line that same day! But Harleys like people ARE ‘individuals’ – they all have they’re own serious ‘personalities’ I’m sayin’. I love this scoot – make no mistake. AS received it was one of the most rusted and abused H-D’s I’d ever gotten so far, that I paid a arm, leg AND pound of flesh for! But it’s sweet now – probably even more so then the one I lost BUT dog gone it I still miss that old bike! Crazy?! You betcha’, but that is why we’re here IN this forum in the first place?! You betcha’! Nuff’ said. :D

Footnote: Now what makes this Harley special compared to 1000’s of 10,000’s (or more) out there?! I’m saying that between me and another guy in Japan, we’re the only two buggers (assuming one ain’t buried in the H-D Archives somewhere?!) on the planet who still have these scoots in the Original Factory Colors for 1981?! That IS seriously WHY I bought THIS particular ride. There’s a lot nicer 1981 FXS’s out there but NONE still in the oem colors (just as I remember). Again, with the exception of the seat, saddlebags and shield I’ve tried to convert the bike back to box OEM stock. Check out the ‘Breadbox’ Air Cleaner on this scoot. I swear I got the most pristine one around (from a guy on eBay who had put this carefully away some 27 years ago!)!

Yeah, I know – it has a gawd awful Chrome Cam Cover (not oem) on it (as received)! Will be changing it sooner or later back to Black Oem – at the rate I’m going these days though, hope BEFORE I’m pushin’ up the friggin’ Dasies?! Say no more….. ;)

Thanks Partner, appreciate it! Can I borrow that to torch this friggin' old flea trap (i.e., house)?! I managed to bust the dang Plumbing again while the wife was out - she's gonna' kick the bejabbers outta' me when she gets back! 18 years I've been fighting with this 100 year old house - I'm afraid the house is gonna' win in the end! Nuff' said.

Much better! That first one looked like the tank had a dent! Those lights on the front forks or 'flash reflection"?

if someone hates the 'blacked out engine' look, then why not buy something else? Nope, the 2nd to last moron that had this scoot before me had actually gone to the expense and trouble to of had ALL the Black Paint removed from the engine! Then the H-D Dealer that got it couldn't sell it because the Black Paint had been removed! :p So they begrudgingly repainted the engine, I’m saying there’s just some things (bikes included) I wish people could keep they’re dang sticky fingers offa’ of and leave the damn thing alone

At's da Mook!
