hi there, i just got my motorcycle permit about two, three days ago and ive been looking to buy a bike, which'll hopefully be real soon

ive been lookin around on the net to see what bikes are good and whatnot, i have my eyes and heart set on a suzuki sv650 (the naked one, not the sport one). ive read many good reviews on it as being a beginner bike and an intermediate, only complaints are the soft suspension, but many people said that it would be fine for everyday riding. anyways, nothing's set in stone yet, but im just looking for a bike that is good to start on, but also fun and exciting to ride later on. so far ive found the suzuki sv650 and the suzuki gs500 to be to my liking (i like standard naked bikes over cruisers and streebikes)

anyways, thats me i guess, just sayin hi and hopefully ill be able to say more when i get on a bike and am on my way

I'll move this thread to "No Motorcycle Yet". I think you have some good bikes in mind there. It's hard to choose, just take your time and you will come up with the right bike for you.

Have you looked into a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course?
Have you looked into the proper riding gear?

In terms of the bikes, I think the sv650 might be a bit much for a beginner with no experience, but that's just my opinion. If you like the naked bikes, check out a Buell Blast. I have hard great things about the blast as a starter bike.
