I grew up riding behind my dad's bikes, and fighting with my brothers on who gets to ride on the back! All the men in my family ride Japanese 1000+ cc sportbikes; I was envious my entire life so I finally got a license and began riding 5 years ago. I rode a red Honda Reflex (a 250 scooter that I can barely pick up...) for about 5 yrs, and just sold it a month ago. Now looking for a faster REAL bike (and re-learning the clutch operation): the SV 650 naked, or a used Hornet.

I spend hours dreaming about the Monster's, Triumph's Street Triple 675 in WHITE, Mana 850, Breva's...

Anybody from the NYC metro area?

Welcome to the forum!

We have several members here from the NYC area. I'm sure you will find your bike soon. Take your time and find a good, well taken care of one!

welcome to the forum!

Also look into a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. No matter how much experience you have, the course will teach you something new, and it may end up saving your life. Please feel free to browse around the forum and ask any and all questions you might have.

Thanks for the welcoming messages.

I was actually thinking about taking a MSF course again. I need to freshen up. I got my license 5yrs ago from the BRC but I haven't touched a clutch since then. (I've been riding a Honda Reflex scooter...) And I know how safety is important because when I was a kid, I've seen my dad come home all bloody, after a 'small' fall on his bike... And I have my brothers reminding me to 'ride safe' all the time! (They don't really ride carefully, though)
