I am in need of a tail light bracket for a 1986 Suzuki SP125 on/off bike. Apparently Suzuki no longer makes these parts, and the more popular parts supply sites cannot get them either. Can anyone help?

That sounds like it 'may' be an easily fabricated part. ?

You know, DC, I have repeatedly thought that to myself, but I'm waiting to see if I could purchase an actual one. I have also thought of filling in the "V" notch where the bracket sits, and then attatching a universal fender mount style tail light. If I was to fab. a bracket, would I use plastic stock or some type of metal? Any thoughts?

Cheap metal. Easy to cut. The original was probably a light weight metal.
Plastic you cannot bend to fit.
I have no idea what the part will look like.
The other possibility is a similar bracket off a similar bike. From the bike grave yard.
