Anyone looking for a good ride for a great cause? My Volunteer Fire Company is holding a fun run On Sunday August 3rd @ 12 noon. (Our annual block party is all weekend long)
Place: Rescue Hook & Ladder Fire Co. Main and Coal st. Shenandoah Pa. 17976
Time: Reg starts at 10am. Kickstands up around 12 noon. (for you early birds, theres a bakery and coffee shop right across the street).
The route: Roughly 70 miles of semi cager-free backroads (PA.RT.339) to Berwick Pa. where our midway stop and hang will be at the "famous" Bandits RoadHouse For "Cyclefest Sunday" (outside bar, live bands, good food) From there we complete the loop to end up back at the Hookies Block Party in full swing.
Donation: $10 per single rider, $15 per couple. Cost includes $3 in food and beverage tickets to use as you please. (Homemade Polish/American food, Ice cold beer and soda)
Tons of giveaways, a bike judging with prizes, 50/50's,Many games (bingo)etc. Did I mention ICE COLD BEER?
I just caught a glimps of the ride T-shirts we ordered and all I can say is 'awesome'! we have sizes up to 3x for sale before and after the ride.
This would be a great opportunity for a meet and greet. Besides I would love to meet some of you guys and girls anyway. Hope to see you all there.
Any questions feel free to PM me.
Thanks Mark
