Those are really nice pictures. I have heard that due to high tariffs, It's extremely expensive to buy a HD in Japan. I don't know if that's still the case today or not.

It's true,,, it's still expensive to buy HD in Japan. Anyway, is the third pic [Roadster] the same Roadster serie as yours Dodsfall?

yeah the cost of living is Japan is MUCH higher than in the US. I mean in a few years when I get a stable job and save up a bit to put a down payment on a piece of property here in the states.

I spent a year in Okinawa Japan:) Never made it to the main land but from what I was told it's completely different than Oki. I would still like to go some day.

That looks like an older model. The newer ones have a bigger gas tank on them.

I'll bet Harleys are really CHEAP in Japan now, because of our declining currency. At least it helps out exports.

I heard they put some really ungodly-high tariffs on imports that nearly doubled the price of the US bikes to protect their home auto and motorcycle manufacturers. I always thought we in the US should reciprocate the exact same percentage of tax that other countries put on our goods. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work out that way.

With all the Ethanol, more appropriately US bikes are corn burners.

used to live in japan for 5 years, and i loved it... it's absolutely true that HD's are expensive there. i haven't been back in almost a decade, but even with the exchange rates, i sincerely doubt HDs are cheap by any stretch of the imagination.
