View Full Version : Anybody here going to Homecoming?
Leaving Longmont, CO for East Troy Monday around noon.
Just wondering if anybody here is going too.
I'll be staying at the Sheraton Brookfield, the Host Hotel and will be riding Loretta, my 1125R.
Sharing a room with Blake, from BadWeB.

Zack, I think your rear tire may be on fire there!
Hehe, leave some tread on for the trip :)
That was the "last hurrah" for the OEM rear tire.
The next day, baby got new shoes...

freakin' crap!
i saw your front wheel and was hoping someone had swapped the 1125 fairing onto a firebolt (like i want to) already, but nooooooo!
you just had to buy the whole bike to go with it! :P
i like the way it looks with a colored front wheel. i can't really see the back, but i assume it's different colored, too?
Loretta was still in transition when I took that pic.
The next day I put the new Amber rear wheel and fresh new Corsa III on the rear.
A few days later she got the Valencia Orange Translucid airbox cover.

The bike is looking fantastic Zach!
I'm looking to buy a Buell in a few years. (Once I have the storage space for 2 bikes) I'm a bit old to have one as a daily commuter, but as a secondary toy, I think it would fit right in! :)
Dodsfall, my '82 Wide Glide has gotten maybe 300 miles on her since I got the 1125R.
Just got back from Homecoming - most fun week of my life!!
Loretta now runs smooth, I found out why she wouldn't learn her maps.
She's in the garage, cooling off with 11,300 or so miles on her.

Welcome back, Zack! I'm sure pix will be forthcoming.......?
BTW-is that Erik's John Hancock on Loretta's new orange airbox cover I see?
Yup, I took the inner box off in the parking lot at the Factory.
Erik was in a little tent signing books, posters, t-shirts, etc.
Took the cover to him instead of asking him to get up and walk over to MY bike...
Most fun week of my life, I met well over 200 people and everyone was real and enjoyable.
Not a single a**hat in the bunch.
I strongly recommend making the trek annually if you ride a Buell.

Here's the ~270 shots I took plus a couple at the beginning from somebody else, at the Tiki Bar.

Looks like I missed a really fun time. Nice pictures, you must have had those energizer batteries in your camera!
Loretta looks really good, especially in the hotel room!
