Opinions on Custom Paint

Right I got a little bit bored and decided to dream up some concepts for a custom paint job for my bike, I was wondering if I could have some opinion's.

Here's my first idea

my bike is originally just a flat silver colour :P

For the custom paint I was originally planning on making the lightning silver but I was having trouble making it look right.

I was thinking of doing something like that or just a really detailed awesome lightning paint... sadly I fail at art so :(

(I wonder if anyone is going to notice the ninja picture on the bike :P)

The great thing about your custom idea is that the lightning decal, or paint job, can, and should be uneven and asymetrical. (sp?) That gives you a greater chance to add those super cool lightning strikes without having to be an amazing artist!:) I like the color choice, and really like the combination on your bike. No, I didn't notice the ninja graphic.... Where is it?

on the first choice the ninja is to the right of the 600 sticker

on the revision he's on the front but mid height

While the lightning motif looks great in concept, at first glance, I think it would look a bit like the bodywork was damaged.(It could be mistaken for cracks) Maybe it's the black color of the graphics, I'm not sure.

Maybe try to invert the colors? (Blue on black)

well really I'd like to have the lightning look like's it's made of silver (or chrome ^_^) but I'm not that good (well I don't have that much free time)

yep I had that colour at first and decided I liked black more but if I could get that lightning to look real that would be cool (or chrome :P)

also you made the ninja silver :P.

I'm thinking the lightning could be made to look pretty darn real by an experienced airbrush artist. Add a little bloom around the hot spots and it would look sharp.

Chrome paint may be challenging, I don't remember ever seeing it done that way.

Lol I could have a bike painted on a bike painted on a bike painted on a bike painted on a (well you get the idea :) )

and to cdillon23, I like blue bikes ^_^

I'll probably never get the money to do this though but it was just an idea :(

Looks great. Looks like you'll really stand out in traffic (a good thing).

Just my opinion, but it seems that there hasn't been a lot of changes in custom paint over the years....
flames, crackles, demonic images, etc..... I would like to see some new ideas.

I like both the silver and black lightning. The black does sorta look like cracks, but I think that is kinda cool actually. Even on close inspection, i can't tell that little blob is a ninja...

Going along with headshrink, who not do something different? Hows this float your boat? (note not my picture, prob copyright infringe :-P)
