AMA Vintage Days General Info
The AMA Vintage is held in Lexington Ohio at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the 2008 American Motorcycle Association Vintage Days rally featured make will be Triumph. This is an event that you can’t miss if you love looking at the vintage motorcycles from years past.
Vintage Motorcycle Days Attractions
The main attraction is obviously the bikes and multiple bike shows, but the Vintage Motorcycle Days has a lot more to offer. It has been announced that special display of pre-1980 cafe racers. There is AHRMA motorcycle racing including road racing, motocross, time trials competition, and flat track racing.

In addition there is a gigantic motorcycle swap meet and the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum Auction. Other AMA Vintage attractions include stunt riders, factory demo rides, and motorcycle industry celebrities.

Sounds great! I admit I'm not much of a (current machines) race fan but I do love the oldies! :D I figure I probably attended my first MC Race anything (a Moto-X) at the Mid-State Ohio Raceway at Lexington, Ohio back in 1980. I was living in Marysville, Ohio at the time, tryin' to get a job in the then recently constructed American Honda plant (no such luck! :(). No sooner then showed up at the raceway (on my then 78' Goldwing) when 5 minutes before the start of the first Moto, the skies let loose with RAIN! It didn't stop the race but within the first couple laps the racers were so covered with mud, I gotta' admit I coudn't tell one rider from the next! Never the less I'd call that a major fun day - highly recommended to one and all - regardless of wall to wall mud (on riders AND spectators!)! :D Nuff' said.

I would really like to make it there this year. The ride there and back plus the event would make for an awesome weekend, especially with Triumph as the key brand.
