And I don't even have a car! (Or a driver license for a car..)

I'd like one in about 2 years or so...

As of right now, i'm 17 , 5'8" and 140 pounds.
I'd defintely like a cruiser, and was looking at Honda's Nighthawk for 3,000... MSRP.

Any advice?

That'd be a fine choice for your first bike. Any of the 250s are great. Just keep saving your money, and do research in your spare time so when the time comes you have an idea of what bike you want, how much you should spend on it, what gear is best for you, etc...

I'm looking for a cruiser... is that Nighthawk fine for that?

If not a nighthawk, what else do you (guys) suggest?

The nighthawk is more of a standard while the rebel is more of a cruiser, they're not radically different though. Other small cruisers are the S40 and S50, and Shadow VLX.

You are doing this backwards. I would worry about getting your driver's license first. But the nighthawk is a great started bike, when you are ready. But who know what bikes will be like in 2 years when you are eligible for one. Also like Schneiderman mentioned the rebel is more of a cruiser than the nighthawk and pretty much the same price range. So yeah make a two year plan, adding how you are planning on getting your driver's license, save up a bunch of money and get yourself a bike.
