Okay so within 2 weeks I will have completed the process of getting my license and will be ready to get my first bike. I've been looking on the internet obsessively, trying to find the perfect bike for me. I have it narrowed down to 2 bikes, they're both ducati ( i dont want a "me too" bike) and very reasonably priced. The only reall difference is engine size and year. I've always loved monsters, I'm sure it's because they are unique and the first of their kind and all that but there's just something about a monster dark, any model as long as its black that just draws me in.
SO the choice is between a used Ducati monster S2r Dark (803cc) and the new Monster 696, the brand new body style and all. I love the new body style but I'm curious to know that in a year or two, am I going to get bored with the smaller engine. So this is just another performance vs. style choice. Someone help me

I know nothing about Ducatis, but 696cc should be plenty of power if you like the newer bike more.

If you are a newer biker with no experience on a sport bike, dont get the 800cc bike, it will be too much for ya, but trust me, that 696 is a great bike, ive driven one quite a bit, especially since thats what my brother has, he is in love with duc's and wouldnt get anything else. It has the power you would want and you wouldnt get bored with it at all.
