What would you all recommend?

I will be joining the Ranks of Motor Cycle Riders soon and I have no Experiance with one in the past. Also After leaving the Military My wifes good cooking mad me a BIG BOY so Im pushing about 350 ;-) Mostly Muscle but still 350 none the less. So with that in mind Plus i happen to live in Orwigsburg, PA its rather hilly hear so with that in mind what would you all recommend me getting. ( I would like something thats not going to cost that of a car) * any advice is appreciated

If you have never ridden before I would suggest you take a Motorcycle safety course. When you are done with the course, get something old and cheap but runs well and do your learning on this. After you get tired of the older bike move to something bigger and better. I suggest a 750, but not for a while.

Are you looking into cruisers or sport bikes or...?

If you want a cruiser, I think you can start on something like a Shadow 750, an older Marauder 800 or anything along those lines. Not too powerful for a beginner but powerful enough to move you up hills with ease.

Cruiser I honestly cant stand Crotch Rockets They make me sick (but thats just my opinion)
