What motorcycle or scooter fits my needs?

I've tried to figure this out on my own, but no motorcycle or scooter seems to do everything that I want, so maybe one of you can suggest something.

Most of these have to do with its fuel efficiency.


Small & Light. I don't want to feel intimidated by this thing, as I've never ridden a motorcycle before.
Aerodynamic. I'd like it to look somewhat like a sport bike. I'd rather not be able to see the engine.
Engine that's small for a motorcycle but big for a scooter. I want a top speed of around 80 mph. I'm thinking around 250-300cc? Two cylinders at most.
Not too expensive. I figure with my modest engine requirements that shouldn't be a big issue.
Not made in China.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, the Ninja 250 is probably the best choice for what you're looking for. I don't know of any other bikes that come close in performance vs. efficiency vs. style vs. value.

Suzuki Bergman scooter (650 cc), Honda silverhawk scooter (650 cc), Suzuki GZ250, Piaggio 350 (2 front one rear) scooter....lots out there...but maybe not used.
