This is the New Rider forum which was created to accommodate the large number of new riders that come here to ask for advice on bikes, gear and riding in general. All new riders, including new members of the forum, are encouraged to make their own threads to ask question on this forum, including questions about first bikes which had previously been restricted to a single, universal "first bike" thread.
The goal of this forum is to provide all new riders with important information that can keep you safe and help you make good decisions. Motorcycling is a fantastic sport, but can be a dangerous one. We strive to help riders make informed decisions when it comes to choosing bikes and gear, and learning how to ride.
So feel free to ask any questions you may have about getting started here. There are no stupid questions, especially when it comes to safety.
