Wife has already "warned" me about whatever I end up buying. Upgrading will be, well um difficult for a few years.. It's been like pulling teeth just to get to this point. My issue is to buy 800cc or buy bigger. Im 6'1 240 and plan to have her as a rider shortly (after I kick the rust off) Been 15 years since I was on a bike. Can the 800cc handle a passenger well?

That depends heavily on which bike(s) you're looking at, there are <800cc bikes that handle passengers well as well as >800cc bikes that don't. What kind of bikes have you had in the past, and what kind of bikes catch your eye now?

If you are a new rider I would recommend that you have at least a year's riding experience...some real riding experience...before takaing on a passenger. Just my .02.

Rode dirt for several years and the last bike I was on was a CBR600. The c50's c90's boulevards I like alot, and the vstars.
And not planning on taking my wife out until I am really comfortable on it again. Then again, a bit of a scare may do some good ;)
