Advice on warm weather riding pants?

Hey everybody.. this is my first post here. I recently purchased Dainese 2 pc. leathes, and while they fit great etc.. they r just too friggin hot for the LA summer. I really believe in safety gear, and i was wondering if there were any good synthetic alternatives. I already have a nylon jaccket from frank thomas, but no pants. Who makes good hot-weather riding pants that wont compromise protecton? Oh and it is preferable that they fit snugly.. i lke the look and dont want them flapping in the wind.

I got a pair of Olympia recon 2's and I really like them. Armored knees and padded hips. Pull them up on Olympia's site for the specs. Got mine from chromekid01 (member here).
