Buell Blast leaking front fork/shock

Is it possible for a front fork (2007 Blast) to begin leaking from expansion caused by the bike being stored in a hot garage? Is there a quick and dirty seal check for these things? Thanks.

i read somewhere that if you take film negatives (old school, i know) and wrap it around the sliding part of the fork and then push it down into the seal (as in, into the shock a little bit) that this will get whatever dirt is between your seal and your slider out of the way.
i don't think sitting in a garage caused it.
if it is still under warranty, take it to the dealer and let them fix it.
