I'm looking at getting back on a bike after 10+ years. I'm pretty set on a basic black Bonneville. Not into the plastic covered bikes or laying down whilst I'm riding so these are perfect. The classic style hooked me though. Hoep it'll be within the month to have one sitting in the garage.

I'd love to own a Bonneville. I have a Sprint ST right now (as well as several other, non-Triumph bikes), and I'm quite happy with it. But if I had more room in my garage, I'd really like to fill the space with a Bonnie. I'm hopeful that someday it'll happen.
Let us know if you end up getting one. The next question would be...how will you option it out? Generally I'm not that bike on tricking out a bike with all kinds of add on doo-dads, but Triumph has some very cool stuff for the Bonnies.

Only thing I can see me adding is perhaps some sort of bag. I do lke the yelow accent peices they hav (tank badges, light cover) though. That little bit of yellow gives it a nice classic class. Proberly add the Thrunton seat cover as well but in black. Just want subtle touches of the yellow.

Unless you replace the seat, the Thruxton 'seat cover' won't work, as it bolts directly to the rear of the seat. There are, however, plenty of options.

haven't given up, just a bit slow. Went to the shop ready to buy and the price I got once changed by a bit so I held off. They gave me MSRP as a few hundred more than what thier site and the factory site show as MSRP. They then said they take off some and that thier selling price is $7399...ahh that's still $100 over factory stated MSRP. After taxes & doc fees I was up at $8000. No cash down adn only can get loan for stated suggested retail ($7299) Now thinking I'll jump so as not to need to upgrade next yr if I went with a smaller an d less expensve bke. A small loan aginat my poorly performing 401k is very doable so why not. Inquiring Tuesday at work about that then just get a purchase agreement to the credit union and coordinate with the wife for her John Han**** and I'm in.
Still holding on to a bit of hope. I WANT a black Bonnie!!!
questions...what is the best route to go if wanting a rear seat cowl ala the Thruxton? Any availale more classic style seats available?

There are multiple options, including finding a Thruxton seat. The two bikes are essentially the same where the seat fastens, and the Thruxton seat/cowl should go right on. Try http://www.newbonneville.com for some other possibilities. I'm pretty sure Brent carries some alternative replacement seats for the new Bonnie. Corbin is another alternative, although a bit pricey.
