Ladies and Heels

First off, i apologize if this is beaten to death, I did a search with no results!

What do y'all think of girls wearing a small heel (stilleto) when they ride their bikes? I just put money down on a ninja 500, and am signed up for my motorcycle training course! Ive been looking for over the ankle boots to wear, and the only ones I can find have heels! The pair I ended up with is over the ankle black leather with a small (1 inch) thin heel. Will I die?

to be honest I don't really find it that attractive... kinda think it looks dumb

also looks like it would be a pain in the ass to drive like that although you probably won't die I personally would prefer a flat bottom

I think the MSF instructors will have a tissy over them too. Take them to the classroom session and ask... if they say "no" then stop by WalMart and get some cheapies.

To be clear, the point wasnt I wanted to wear heels, more that I was having a really hard time finding boots that were over the ankle that WERENT heels. I tried to get mens boots, but I couldnt find a size small enough for me!
Anybody know where I can find the appropriate boots?

If men's size shoes won't fit you, then try looking for military/law enforcement boots at a police supply store or online. They come in women's sizes as well as men's.

Go to a sports store and look for hiking shoes.

Truthfully, you could probably buy a pair of solid black, over the ankle gym shoes and get away with it at the MSF class. I don't recall them doing an inspection when I took the class.

Don't get anything with steel toe, because you need to be able to feel and work the shifter with your foot.

I ride in "Magnum" boots that are available at Academy Sporting stores. I wear them at work, too and get about 3 years out of a pair. Big 3 sporting goods, or anything similar should carry them. Most Army Surplus will have somethng similar - not sure about the sizes though.

I never looked for ladies flat boots myself, but I would recommend them while riding. BUT!......Bring your booted heels with you to change into after the ride, they do give off one hell of a sexy look!

i ride with in a harley Davidson, over the ankle boot, black. i have a standard size female foot....(means not all that small) it laces up front, but has side zipper for easy on an off............also i bought black "snow" boots from LLBean..like to ski too.......they are great and fett dont get too hot.......i ride in south GA year round

I did some quick searching, thinking that it couldn't be that hard to find a women's purpose-built motorcycle boot without a heel.... I guess I thought wrong.

Hiking and tactical boots and that kind of thing should work out OK, just keep in mind when selecting them that you have to get the toe under the shifter, and be able to have good feeling of the shifter and the brake through the boot.
