I was talking to someone about the crazy idea of a bike with a small car motor in it, and someone mentioned a bike manufacturer named Munch. I have never heard of it. Are any of you familiar with them? Is car motor bikes their specialty? I am interested as I was told that they were not a custom bike, but assembly line models.
We also started talking about the Triumph Rocket III. These I am quite familiar with, and I like them, but there is no way I will be able to get one. I think that cars and bikes will soon join with the gas prices and all, and am just trying to keep up to date. Thanks.

They are designer bikes named after the designer Friedel Munch. He was a german bike designer, and was very popular in the 60s. i still think they make bikes, but I haven't heard or seen anything about them in quite a while. They are more well known in Europe. Some popular Indian mimicing models are actually made bu Munch.

OK Showing my age now, but Yes the Munch Mammoth and the Munch TT were the MV Agusta.s of their day.
The problem was, in Germany in those days, the Insurance was 1 german mark pr cc + 30 % or something like that.
The Munch was 1200 cc, so never mind being able to buy it, who could afford to insure it ?
The mainstream Big bikes at that time were 650 - 750 cc.
Take Care Out There.
