I guess that the Phillipines has a little problem with, not car racing, but motorcycle drag racing.
I has gotten to be such a problem that the local municipalities have come to the decision that races need to be regulated.
This might sound like business as usual, but there's more to the story.
The event that finally brought it to the attention of government was afreak show on wheels.
2 racing bikers hurt 8 people in one event on a National highway. Most were underage, only 2 were on bikes, one child was hit on his bicycle, and the others were in foot, all on a highway.
Just put 8 kids at 10 PM with 2 motorcycles and a bicycle on a US freeway, and see how long it takes to get a trooper.
DID they ever think of a curfew, or highway safety to begin with?
