My good buddy has a BMW R1200RT and I must say, I'm not at all impressed with the prices for the oil filters. As I'm quite the cheapskate, I've done some extensive research and thought I'd share what I have found in case others find themselves not wanting to pay such high prices.
The OEM oil filter is the MANN MW-75 which my buddy was quoted $18.00 at the dealer. Conversely, I have found that K&N makes a perfectly adequate #164 for $14.00.
If anyone else has any insight on hexhead oil filters, please share.
