Woulda been nice. '99 had the Thunderstorm heads and fuel injection, 101 HP. Very nice machine....and a Tuber, to boot! (Got a soft spot in my heart for tubers, ya know) The price was about average.

Glad I found this post. Was wonder about a 99 Lightning for $4500. Its got over 20k on it. Too much? What are some common problems to look for, really LOVE the look of the bike. But haven't heard much info on the buell.
Oh by the way, this would be my first streetbike purchase.

4500 is a bit high for a 99 with that many miles. I'd think you could knock 5-800 off that price. '99 was a good Lightning-Thunderstorm heads, fuel injection....they'll only go up in price due to the fact the custom goons are tearing the motors out of them or chopping them.
