February 29th - March 9th, 2008 also called Daytona Beach Bike Week, is a motorcycle event and rally held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida. Approximately 500,000 people make their way to the rally area for the 10-day event. The festivities include motorcycle racing, concerts, parties, and street festivals. The event is usually held on the first full week of March and contends with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally as the most popular motorcycle rally in the United States. its going to be a blast

This is a great event and fun if you ride safe and are very careful.
The cops are tough on speeding, noise and stunts as well as drinking and driving. We have lost 22 bikers in two weeks in some years so they have to be on their toes. Compared to Nebraska that lost 15 in the entire state last year. Bike theft is also a big deal here. Some years we have had over 40 bikes stolen, sometimes with their trailers as well.
If you are not setting on it every minute you better have it insured.
The event has spread to every town within 100 miles and the new happening places for bands and drinking are actually north of Daytona 10 miles at the 95 and US1 intersection.
So party 24/7 and enjoy the races but do be carefull.
