I like the looks and it finally gives them a really good chance to race one on one with the other sportbikes. With all that power and don't forget it only weighs 375 pounds. I'm sure they will have some bugs to work out but it will be a good one for them. I wonder how hard it would be to fit that 1125 in my Sporty??? If they make a model for street use, higher bars, I'd consider buying one.

You would think they would be trying to compete with say the
Ducati 1098

1125cc...... 142hp........ liquid - cooled engine.....ARRRR!!! ARRR!!! ARRRR!!!! :D

We have a contender.....maybe

Unless for the same $12,000 price you want to get a 1352cc Kawasaki ZX14 or go with a Hayabusa

Apples & oranges The only thing you can compare it to is the Ducati 1098 Unless Honda comes up with a 1200cc RC51:eek:

For 12 grand I can buy at least 12 running older bikes..............

It is a good looking bike though.

having ridden an 1125r (without a go-along from the dealership, mind you) i can vouch for its horsepower. in first cruising at 3k rpm, a quick roll of the throttle has the wheel up at 6k rpm and it just keeps going from there. in second, the story is the same, only the front wheel comes up at 8k rpm. third requires some clutch, but not much. and i NEVER ride wheelies. i accidentally found out. lol it also stops like a beast. i had to make a quick stop in the IHOP parking lot just to see if you could tell the difference between the firebolt (6 piston caliper) and the 1125r brakes (8 piston caliper, way less weight too). ohhhh yeah. the first thing in my head when i rode the 1125r was "holy crap! it's a firebolt with an amazing transmission and bigger balls!" i strongly reccomend test-riding one. :]

They want to compete with Ducati and Aprilia, they could care less about Suzuki, Yamaha... etc. Their whole goal was to compete with higher end bikes with the latest and greatest technology.. so their price definitely compares to those bike. No one really says "Hey do I buy the Suzuki or the Buell"... its two completely different bikes with two completely different target demographics.
