Been a Harley rider for years, still own 2, 06 V-Rod and 05 Ultra. Recently purchased 06 America, perfect RIDE!!!. Would like any info concerning exhaust mods., tried Triumph pipes but too much popping during decel. any suggestions?

Welcome to the site 641, you might want to ask your question over at the Harley forum, most Harley owners check it out. I assume the stock pipes have broken or something:)

Sorry! Did not make myself clear. Question was concerning 06 Triumph I recently purchased. Just saying how pleased I am with new bike as compared to the other rides.

Welcome!
The popping is probably from an emissions system injecting air into the pipes. My Kawasaki has the same popping under decel. if I eliminate the emission system or plug it off the popping will cease.

I believe you are going to have to richen the fuel/air ratio a bit to eliminate the popping on decel. I think those triumphs still hab carbs, don't they? You will probably have to re-jet. Not sure if there will be a factory part, or if the dealer will do the work since it is an emission-controlled bike. the new pipes reduced back pressure, and you will get the noise if the fuel/air is not adjusted. An hour on the dyno after re-jetting will get things running and sounding better.
I hope to add a Bonneville to the stable one of these days. Love 'em. Let us know how things work out.
