Saturday, these guys came racing past me without waving or anything. Didn't even look my way. Ok....no biggie....they might be like a lot of other sport bikers that look down on everyone NOT on a sport bike.

So I caught them at the next light. I was right behind them and they were talking to each other and didn't look back or anything. So when the light turned green, they nailed the throttle and so did I.

We hit 80 in no time and backed it off. They got hung up in traffic as I came around them. This time, they were behind me when the light turned green and I left them behind.

I'm sure they weren't trying all THAT hard on the second light but I thought it was funny cuz at the next lite (3rd stop light), they were saying hi and waving and all that. hahaha....guess the bimmer isn't as slow as I once thought.

lol...yeah but I was glad before this. I've been riding it a lot and it's a really nice bike that's great on the roads. I love it....it had just been a little while since I rode it on a regular basis so I kind of forgot how much I love it.

Now I'm saving up for a sport bike. Maybe next spring.

That's cool.
I did that one time, too, but with some sports cars.
My '98 R1200C is modified in that I put 1150RT throttlebodies and cams in it so it no longer has a governor at 106 mph. She does well over 120 mph now.
Anyway, I was traveling on the interstate when a late model Trans Am and some foreign sport car went screaming by and I was already doing 85.
I figured, well, might as well follow them to make better time and let them get the ticket.
I stayed on their tail for 50 miles at over 100+ mph. I'm sure they were wondering what I was riding because it doesn't look like a sport bike from any angle.
Anyway, the best moment was when the Trans Am got caught behind a semi truck and when it finally moved out of the way the Trans Am stomped on it to catch the other car and I tought to myself, nothing doing if he thinks he's getting away from me, and, much to my joy, not only did he not out accelerate me, but, I closed the gap easily.
Not exactly the safest thing to do on two wheels, but, wow, what a rush!

heh...cool story.

Now that it's riding season again, I'm so glad I kept it. It might not be the fastest bike on the road but it's fun.
