I had problems with my motorcycle cutting out after it got warmed up. Thinking it was the points and condenser it replaced them, and like always things got worse and now I don't get any spark at all. I check the resistance in the ignition coil and it indicated it was bad so I replaced it. It checks good now, but still no spark. I have checked the timing using a multi-meter and it appears to be good (which I would think would also indicate I put the points and condenser in correctly and they should be good). I rechecked the ignition coil and it appears to be good. My wife is threatening to blow up the bike if I don't get it running, can anyone help?

Check the engine/frame ground to the negative terminal of the battery, may be heavy corrosion. Make sure you put the spacers on the points correctly, otherwise you're putting the spark directly to ground. The PO of one of my bikes did this.

Thanks for the suggestions. When I was checking the spacers I noticed that one of the wires for the condenser didn't get soldered correctly. Once I corrected that it started right up. Sometimes it's better to be luck than good.

I am still having some problems with the top end, but I think it might be a carb problem. Thanks again for the help.
